Adib Architect & Associates is a Lebanese architecture firm that aims to offer a new perspective on Arabic Mediterranean architecture and highlight the beauty of contemporary design through minimalism. The firm was founded by the renowned Architect Dr. Adib Haydar and is dedicated to design excellence, creating simple, authentic, genuine, honest, memorable, and consistent concrete structures that embody a modernist aesthetic. Adib Architect offers a range of clients with premium quality design services and solutions, and is comprised of a team of architects and designers who specialize in minimalism at various design facets including architecture, landscape, planning, interior design, and furniture design.
In our work, we do not stop at presenting a new vision that critiques the architectural reality; rather, we strive to create living models that embody our philosophy of a local Arab architecture, rooted in a rich heritage and reinterpreted in a contemporary spirit. We do not follow passing trends or reactive movements. Instead, we focus on elevating the local and Arab architectural output, reviving its authenticity through a contemporary art form that reflects our identity and expresses our values.

لا نكتفي بطرح رؤية جديدة تنتقد الواقع المعماري، بل نسعى إلى إختبار نماذج حيّة تعبّر عن فكرنا وفلسفتنا في عمارة عربية محلية، تنطلق من إرثٍ غني وتُترجم بروح معاصرة. لسنا إمتداداً لردود الأفعال أو الإتجاهات العابرة، بل نعمل على الإرتقاء بالنتاج المعماري المحلي والعربي، وإبراز أصالته عبر فنّ معاصر يعكس هويتنا ويجسّد قيمنا.
Dr. Adib Haydar
Founder and Principal Architect | OEA Licensed Architect
Adib Haydar, a Lebanese architect, artist, and urbanist based in Beirut, founded his own firm ADIB ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES in 2017 after having worked in various capacities for several firms in Beirut. Adib’s educational background includes studying architecture at the Lebanese University, the Institute of Fine Arts and Architecture, and later earning a Ph.D. in Smart Cities development from the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences in June 2021. Adib’s design philosophy is rooted in modernist and minimalist architecture, influenced by renowned architects such as Tadao Ando and Louis Kahn, as well as the rich cultural and architectural heritage of Arabic Islamic architecture. His designs employ simple geometric shapes, prioritize natural lighting, and emphasize the importance of spirituality and sensory experiences. Adib utilizes concrete material and abstract form to create sculptural spaces that harmonize with their surroundings. He describes his work as a modern art form that revives the ancient beauty and soul of spaces lost in contemporary local and regional architecture, giving meaning to each element of space to evoke wonder.
As an urban planner, Adib focuses on smart city projects and open-source technologies that can enhance urban resilience and improve the quality of life.
Nour Haydar
Co-Founder | Interior Architect
Nour Haydar is an accomplished interior architect at ADIB ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES. Born and raised in Lebanon, she earned a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from the Lebanese University, Institute of Fine Arts and Architecture in 2019.
As an integral member of the team, Nour plays a crucial role in bringing to life the artistic vision of architect, Adib Haydar. Nour’s focus is on the concept of simplicity and creating spaces that evoke inner feelings and emotions, rather than just outward appearances. Designing simple, yet impactful spaces requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to carefully choose and place materials, objects, and furniture to enhance the overall experience of the space. Nour works closely with Adib to create spaces that seamlessly blend forms, textures, and colors, resulting in a truly sculptural experience. In these spaces, the light grey concrete wall serves as the backdrop, emphasizing and framing any added artwork.
